Peter Teschner works very closely with his engineers to exchange ideas on his respective projects. Being an Australian owned company, the innovations and visions are created in the TESCHNER headquarter in Ballina, New South Wales. This is also where the future of the company is being shaped; close to the endless beaches of Australia’s famous Gold Coast.
At the TESCHNER headquarter, Peter Teschner and his development team are pulling all their knowledge together, before drawing and designing new prototypes on the computer, followed by simulations, lab and field tests. Designing equipment for professional cyclists is a highly complex process. Each race bike is a machine, driven by human power and maximum power transition is the key.
To create high end frames, allowing the athlete and his machine become one, has been achieved by TESCHNER for over 20 years.A frame should be as light as possible without making a sacrifice to the stiffness. Completed into a race bike, a TESCHNER handles perfectly, allowing the rider being in control at all times, to guarantee safety and maximum performance.
To develop the perfect ride, TESCHNER pays attention to each detail, affecting the ergonomics, dynamics, biomechanics and aerodynamics of a race bike. This is where research and development meet the outstanding experience of Peter Teschner himself. At TESCHNER we know, that we can build the best bikes.
TESCHNER LAB TESTS
The rider’s safety remains a priority for TESCHNER. Therefore we are running our own test lab, which only very few do, as this is time-consuming and expensive. Starting from prototypes, we test every single model + random frames out of production, with scientific support, to ensure the product fulfils all our strict criteria. Each frame undergoes static and dynamic tests under the supervision of our head engineer and Peter Teschner himself.

Running our own tests gives us the opportunity, to simulate thousands of stress circles in a short period and to receive a quick feedback where we can improve our frames.
TESCHNER ROAD TESTS
In 2010 we celebrate exactly 20 years of successful frame designing at TESCHNER. And this also means 20 years of intense frame testings through our own world class athletes. There are only a very few names missing in cycling Australia’s “who is who” that haven’t been a testimonial for TESCHNER’s development at one stage in their career. Many of the TESCHNER testimonials went on to become pro riders in Europe – some even finished on Podiums in Grand Tours. And being foremost an Australian bike manufacturer, we always give our Aussie athletes the first bite of the cake. Every frame we develop goes out on the roads of this great country to be tested and reviewed by some of the most experienced riders the sport has on offer.
Before a frame finally leaves TESCHNER, it is again checked and carefully padded-packed as we want to deliver each frame to our customer in superb condition.
